长链非编码RNA肝癌高表达转录本与原发性肝癌关系的研究进展

摘要

长链非编码RNA(lncRNA)是一类序列长度大于200 nt,缺乏编码蛋白质功能的RNA,其在众多生物学过程中具有重要作用。肝癌高表达转录本(HULC)是在肝癌组织中发现的一种特异性高表达lncRNA。现有研究表明,lncRNA HULC与肝癌及其相关疾病(如病毒性肝炎、肝炎后肝硬化)密切相关,可通过表观遗传调控、增加异常脂质代谢、促进血管生成及上皮-间质转化等机制涉及肝癌的发生、发展及预后;此外,lncRNA HULC还具有成为肝癌诊断标志物及治疗靶点的潜在价值。笔者就lncRNA HULC与原发性肝癌关系的研究进展予以综述。


Research progress of relationship between long non-coding RNA highly upregulated in liver cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are classified as RNAs greater than 200 nucleotides in length without protein coding capability, which exert multiple functions upon a wide range of biological processes. Highly upregulated in liver cancer (HULC) is an lncRNA that was found specifically overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Recent evidence has indicated that lncRNA HULC is closely related to HCC and other HCC-related diseases (such as viral hepatitis and posthepatitic cirrhosis), involving in the occurrence and development as well as prognosis of HCC by multiple mechanisms such as epigenetic regulation, abnormal lipid metabolism, and promotiing angiogenesis and epithelial-mesenchymal transition. Moreover, lncRNA HULC has a potential value of acting as a diagnostic biomarker or therapeutic target for HCC. Here, the authors review the research progress in relationship between lncRNA HULC and HCC.
